Aadhaar Free Update Deadline Extended to June 14, 2025

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the deadline for free Aadhaar updates to June 14, 2025. This extension provides residents with additional time to ensure their demographic information, such as name, date of birth, address, and mobile number, is accurate and up to date.

How to Update Your Aadhaar Details

To update your Aadhaar details online, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the myAadhaar portal on the official UIDAI website.
  2. Log in using your Aadhaar number, captcha code, and OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  3. Navigate to the Document Update section to verify your existing details.
  4. Upload a clear scanned copy of the required document (JPEG, PNG, or PDF, max size 2 MB).
  5. Note the 14-digit Update Request Number (URN) assigned to your update for tracking purposes.
  6. Once approved, download the updated Aadhaar card directly from the portal.

Important Information

  • The free update facility is available only for modifying demographic details.
  • Changes to biometric data (fingerprints, iris scans, or photographs) require a visit to authorized Aadhaar centers and a nominal fee.
  • Regular updates are crucial for accessing government services and benefits, minimizing the risk of misuse, fraud, and identity errors.
