New Delhi. Poland’s 21 -year -old IGA Swiatek has won the US Open 2022 title. In the final, world number one player Swiatek defeated Wimbledon’s runner-up Oons Jabur 6-2, 7-6 in straight sets. This is Swiatek’s third career Grand Slam title. Swiatek has won the French Open title twice before the US Open. The 5th seed 28 -year -old Zabur was the first African player to reach the US Open final in the professional era starting from 1968. After Wimbledon, she also missed out on winning the US Open title.
