However, Tarun used to play hockey in the first Divyang competition. However, later became more interested in football than hockey. After this, the national coach Prabhat Rahi gave Tarun training in football for 4 consecutive years. For this training, Tarun used to come to Shivaji Ground, 20 km away.

Tarun’s mother Sangeeta Thakur is alone raising her son. Now Tarun is 19 years old, but the mother has no problem with her son being disabled. Mother says, we should never lose courage. Tarun’s maternal grandparents, maternal uncle, supported in this achievement. However, Tarun’s school Tankha Memorial was also supported behind it.
