For Pakistan, Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi got 1-1 wicket.

In response to the target of 357 runs to win, Pakistan team could score only 128 runs in 32 overs in front of the magical spin bowling of left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav taking five wickets. Kohli has touched this figure at the fastest pace in One Day International. Virat Kohli made a world record by completing 13000 ODI runs in 267 innings. Before this, Sachin Tendulkar had played 321 innings to reach this figure.

Virat Kohli has also become the fastest player to score 47 centuries in the ODI format. Kohli broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record by achieving this feat in 267 innings. Sachin had made this record by playing 435 innings. Along with playing a brilliant captaincy inning of 56 runs against Pakistan in the Super-4 match of Asia Cup, Rohit Sharma scored his 50th half-century in One Day International matches. He is the eighth batsman from India to achieve this feat.

Djokovic captured three Grand Slam titles in 2023. Djokovic had to face defeat in the Wimbledon final in July. He was successful in making it to the finals of the US Open for the seventh time. Before this, Djokovic had last won the US Open title in 2018. Till now, he has played Grand Slam finals 36 times and won 24 titles.

America’s 19-year-old Coco Gough won the US Open women’s singles title. Sixth seeded Gauff achieved the feat of winning her 12th consecutive match by defeating second seeded Arina Sabalenka of Belarus 2-6, 6-3 and 6-2 in the final. Also created history by winning her first Grand Slam title. Coco Gauff is the first teenage player to win the US Open since 1999. Serena Williams achieved this feat in 1999.

Rohan Bopanna certainly achieved the distinction of becoming the oldest male player by playing in a Grand Slam final at the age of 43, but his dream of becoming men’s doubles champion in the US Open remained unfulfilled. In the men’s doubles title match, Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Ebden were defeated by the pair of Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury 2-6, 6-3 and 6-4. And finally, Indian compound archer Prathamesh Javkar won the silver medal in the Archery World Cup. In the final, Prathamesh was defeated by Denmark’s Mathias Fullerton in the shoot-off. The score of world number 14 Javkar and Denmark’s 10th ranked Mathias in the final ended in a tie of 148-148 after five sets.
